The Kursalon is a building in Vienna, constructed in the mid-19th Century in the style of the Italian Renaissance, located where the Vienna Ring Boulevard meets the green of the City Park. The Kursalon, designed in the style of the Italian Renaissance by Johann Garden, was built in 1867 as a recreation resort. It is located directly on the historic Ringstrasse and amidst Stadtpark, Vienna’s city park. After completion, it soon became famous in the high society of Vienna, known especially for the cult of the waltz and joie de vivre.
