About Concert

The Kursalon Vienna was the place where the waltz gained popularity in the 19th century. It was all because of Johann Strauss, the classical music Maestro who lived and worked in Vienna and achieved his first major success as a concertmaster in Kursalon. Now, with your tickets to the Mozart and Strauss concert and dinner at Kursalon Vienna, you too can indulge in an evening of fascinating compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss in the magnificent setting of the Kursalon.

Enjoy a multi-course authentic Viennese meal at Das Johann, the in-house restaurant at the venue, before you settle down for the evening to listen to some of the most beautiful 19th Century classics, such as 'Der Zigeunbaron,' 'Die Fledermaus,' 'The Marriage of Figaro' and more. Get your tickets to the Mozart and Strauss concert and dinner at Kursalon Vienna for an elegant and wholesome evening.

Know the Performers

The Salonorchestra Alt Wien was established in 1999 by Josip Susnjara and Professor Udo Zwölfer, who was the erstwhile principal leader of the Vienna Volksoper Orchestra. The musicians of the orchestra are able to produce a symphonic sound without a conductor, which is a unique and fascinating characteristic. The concertmaster leads the orchestra as the first violinist, emulating the method of Johann Strauss and Josef Lanner. The interaction between players during a concert creates an enjoyable atmosphere that brings the entire house together in spirit, both performers and the audience.

Mozart and Strauss’ lively tunes will come to life at the Kursalon with the help of the Salonorchester Alt Wien, well-known all over the world. The unique set-up of the orchestra enables it to play without a conductor, a tradition that was made famous by Johann Strauss as he played the position of the first violin while leading the orchestra. The musicians achieve this by listening to each other and engaging in a musical dialogue that brings out the symphonic intensity of the pieces. They will be accompanied by a few opera singers and ballet soloists.

Eschenbach Palace

About Theatre

Palais Eschenbach, or the Eschenbach Palace, is a beautiful classical music venue in the heart of Vienna. This Palladian-style palace was opened in 1872 by Emperor Franz Joseph I and was built according to the plans of architect Otto Thienemann. The entire place is well-preserved in its original state and the banquet hall, which is the centre of attraction, is covered in precious wood panelling and tapestries. This makes the palace a striking visual delight. The acoustics, too, are top-notch, giving a unique flavour to the classical music concerts that are hosted here.
